This simple recipe only takes a few minutes to prepare and place into the oven.

Before you begin, be sure to preheat your oven to 350 degrees. The cooking time for oven fried chicken will vary depending upon the size of the chicken being used. Be sure to keep a close eye on your chicken to avoid over cooking.  Be sue to generously season your chicken before dredging and coating with corn flakes.

Lightly spray a cookie sheet with non-stick spray (I recommend lining with foil).
Be sure to generously season egg wash before use.
Dredge chicken in egg wash, flour, and corn flakes (in that order). Be sure chicken is completely coated with corn flakes and that corn flakes are sticking to chicken.
Lightly coat top of chicken with cooking spray before placing into oven.

Bake in preheated oven

RECOMMENDED COOKING TIME
45 – 55 minutes for chicken pieces or until tender and no longer pink.
20 – 30 minutes for chicken breasts or until tender and no longer pink.

Marinated Chicken Breast – Intense Flavor

The most challenging part of cooking chicken breast is not drying the chicken out during the cooking process. However, using TomTom’s recipe and marinade will cause your chicken to come out juicy every time.

Please be sure to check out the BLOG for additional details and cooking tips.

INGREDIENTS
Chicken breast(s)
1 cup of water
Apple juice (enough to completely submerge chicken during marination process.
½ cup of Worcestershire sauce
1 TBS Cumin
½ stick Melted butter
1 TBS Paprika
3 TBS Rosemary
2 TBS Onion powder
3 TBS Cilantro
2 TBS Black pepper

Marinated Chicken

In the video I mentioned that I marinated my chicken for one hour. However, the thickness of the chicken required a longer process of a total time of two to three hours of marination. Depending upon the thickness of your chicken you may wish to adjust the marination time.

Be sure to cook your chicken slowly and check often for doneness especially if you are cooking the chicken in an oven.

If you wish to cook your chicken on a grill, I recommend indirect cooking in order to slow the cooking process and reduce the opportunity of drying the chicken out.

Cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of your chicken.

Flavorful Eye of Round Steak Recipe – IMPRESSIVE FLAVOR

There is absolutely nothing like flavorful food. Bland is nowhere in sight when it comes this dish!

INGREDIENTS

Eye of round steak (amount is up to you)
1 cup of water
Cilantro (2 TBS)
Parsley flakes (2 TBS)
Tony’s Chacere’s  (1 TBS)
Black pepper (1 1/2 TBS)
Onion powder (1 TBS)
Worcestershire sauce (1/2 cup)
Scotch bonnet (OPTIONAL – 1 TSP or to taste)

Before you begin this recipe, I recommend you put the steaks in the freezer for a few minutes; long enough to allow them to harden a bit. This will make slicing much easier.

There is no uniform method to slicing this beef. If you have a meat slicer, that would be a great way to handle the process. Otherwise, simply slice them however you see fit with a knife.

top round steak recipeOnce the meat has been sliced, place it into a container and begin the process of making the marinade.

Mix all marinade ingredients directly onto the meat. Be sure everything is coated and submerged. I also recommend shaking the meat around inside the container (with a lid on) in order to generously coat everything. Allow to sit in the refrigerator for at least 45 minutes.

Heat a large skillet on the stove to medium heat. Be sure skillet is coated with a non- stick spray. Drain marinade from container before placing meat into pan for cooking. Place the meat into the pan and stir regularly. If the meat is thin as mine was in the video, it won’t take long to cook.

Cook to your desired doneness level and enjoy!
